I really needed to hear this. I'm ashamed to say that I do this. I get competitive. I never thought anyone would notice me doing it . . . I'm sorry. I really am. I certainly wouldn't want anyone to do it to me.

If I saw you loaded up on cereal, I would not have assumed you were a cereal binger, but I would have assumed you had a lot of kids. Everybody makes assumptions, that's part of life, it's no big deal unless they verbally butt into my stuff. When I see one product in a cart, up to the rim, I assume they are having a sale. Then I want to get to that aisle and see.

Yeah, I have to admit I used to do that. Before I got fat that is, though I thought I was fat at the time. Now that I'm over 230 lbs I've come to realize that it's not what you eat. Obviously.

Also, I just don't notice people doing that to me; I spend a lot of time concentrating on the positives in my environment, which was really difficult at first, but now it's second nature, and my life is a lot happier.

I HATE that! I remember one time I got looks AND comments because I was grabbing a ton of junk food for a big party with friends- lots of chips and soda, and makings for pizza(Part of the fun of the party was gonna be building pizzas the way we want 'em), and I got comments like, "You really should get some veggies with that," or even, "Did you leave any for the rest of us?"

=_= Seriously, why is it anyone else's business? People are so nosy!

did someone say something to you? Or was it just a head shake and muttered comment?

I'm done with accepting muttered comments. I will turn around and confront them. WHAT DID YOU SAY? looking them in the eye.

I love doing that. People aren't used to sticking up for themselves and I get to tell them to mind their own beeswax. Fat, sassy, and ANGRY, HELLO!

I really don't think it's a big deal if people look at whats in my cart. It doesn't really effect me in any way.

Hell...I've been known to check out people's carts...especially the ones that are buying a ton of condoms. I'm thinking "Geez...you gonna use all those? You do know they expire, right?"

I think it's human nature to judge. It just happens. It's shitty, yes...but it's normal. Might as well shrug it off and ignore it. Don't sweat the small stuff. Ya know? It's when a person starts making rude comments that it becomes a problem.

I can't say that I haven't done that.

A year or so ago, I was in the checkout line. The young man behind me had a HUGE roll of plastic sheeting, a couple of 40 ounce beers, and two large pump-applicator bottles of hand lotion. I did know him as a VERY distant acquaintance, so I guess that's why I blurted out, "Wow! Planning a hellacious party, huh?"

I SO embarassed myself, but he got the giggles.

He never did confirm or deny the party thing, though.

AMEN, sister!

I think people should just quit wasting their time judging other people based on anything other than their actions, period.

Well, what happened? Did someone say something to you? I know sometimes just a look is enough. I also agree with visiting numerous stores for the best prices, I do that as well.

Anyway, never mind those people their probably just miserable b/c they can't eat guilt free or always watching their weight, believe me, I know. I just started doing this this year, I'm having a quarter life crisis (30th b-day coming up ant IT IS ON!! No matter WHAT Hubby says!!)

Anyway, hope everything is ok over there and hope your Husband's Type1 isn't giving y'all too much trouble. My 4 year old Daughter has it, too, so I know how that is.
