Friday Fluff: How does she know that you love her?
May 2, 2008 by jamboree
My kids love Enchanted with a fierce, undying passion. My eldest daughter is Giselle, my son is Edward, and they dance and twirl around the living room together all the time. I really enjoy the movie as well, especially the song and dance number in the park. It’s a catchy song and the extras in the background are really interesting to watch.
Even more, I like the words of the song. It makes me think about how I show my family how much I love them, but also how I show I love myself.
What do you do to care for yourself spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally? What did you do today to show yourself you care?
As for me, I took a bubble bath first thing this morning. It was a great way to start the day.

I put on a lovely dress that makes me feel snazzy and like a hot tomato all day long.
‘Cause that’s me.
OMG!! I and my 4 and 2 year old are OSESSED with that movie!! I wasn’t even looking for any “Enchanted” stuff, today, at least not yet. The second I read the title, I heard the song in my head!!!
(A Queen Narissa glitter pic i made..LOOOVE her make-up and wardrobe and HELLO?!?! It’s friggin’ SUSAN SARANDON!!)
PLUS I WANT THOSE DOLLS!!!!

I feed myself good foods, read interesting books (and blogs, and websites), move some every day, and give myself permission not to be flawless. Oh, and I always wear a hat when I go out. It’s a nice little fillip of fun and fancy that makes me feel great about me.
Making pies helps a lot, too. If feeds me body and soul in a way nothing else does. But I’m also about to freaking lay down the law that if Mr. Twistie doesn’t get his pile of random stuff off the one and only place in the house where I can comfortably set up my lace pillow and see well enough to toss my bobbins, he’s going to come home one night to find it all freaking gone. I need my zen exercise of making lace.
